PNEUMATIC CLAMPING SYSTEM FOR THE TEST BENCH PSH has developed a pneumatic clamping
system as clamping of alternators to the test bench is becoming more difficult
owing to the unconventional shapes of modern alternators. This means that
it no longer matters what shape the alternator is as the system uses the
alternator’s own fixing/hanging facilities. More than 99% of all common alternators
can be clamped in place on this system, even the water-cooled alternators
and the ‘block fit’ alternators. It is obvious that the saving in time gained
by this way of fitting is enormous, but there are more advantages. Clamping
using the used drive belt means that it is possible to test the alternator
at a higher no. of revolutions, which also means that there is a greater
chance of all faults in the alternator coming to light during testing. If you would like to know more about this system, PSH can always provide you with a demonstration as the system is set up permanently in our showroom.
